Since joining the Yale Bulldogs in the 2010-11 season, Kenny Agostino's game has grown leaps and bounds. He has gone from posting 25 points (11 goals and 14 assists) in his freshman season to becoming the Bulldogs second leading scorer in the 2012-13 campaign, notching 17 goals and 41 points through 37 games. He was a key component in Yale's journey to capturing the 2013 NCAA Championship, playing on the top line with captain Andrew Miller and Jesse Root.
Once known for his gaudy scoring record with the Delbarton Green Wave (50 goals, 83 points in 27 games in 2009-10), Agostino has displayed his prowess in all three zones with the Bulldogs and has gained the utmost trust from the coaching staff at Yale. He is thrown out in all situations and is looked upon as a leader amongst his teammates.
Agostino plays a physical style of hockey, showing no fear when battling along the boards or in front of the net. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing in at 211-pounds, the Flanders, NJ native uses his body very effectively in every way. He can throw big hits, muscle bodies out of the way while battling for ice and is positionally sound. He has a solid hockey IQ, is a strong skater and an incredibly strong work ethic.
The winger will finish off his collegiate career at Yale in the 2013-14 season.
