CONCESSION FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum age to work in the program?
The minimum age is 15.

How long are the shifts?
Shift lengths run from 5—5 ½ hours in length in the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Shifts at McMahon are 3 ½-5 ½ depending on the area worked.

How much money can we make?
Your group, if they fulfill the 120 shift requirement in the Scotiabank Saddledome, will make a minimum of $7680.00.  120 Shifts worked at McMahon will pay between $5880.00 -$7680.00. You may work beyond the 120 shifts if you are interested; your group will receive a bonus after every 120 shifts.

When do we get our cheque?
Cheques for all events worked during a month are processed and will be in your hands within thirty days from the end of the month worked.

Where do we park?
For Flames games, parking is available at Manchester parking lots. A shuttle bus operates between this lot and the Saddledome for Flames games only. For non Flames events there is limited parking on site at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
McMahon Stadium operates similarly; staff park in Lot 10 at the University of Calgary and a shuttle drops off at the staff door.

Do we get to pick the dates we work?
We encourage all groups to choose the dates that work best for them. All groups must work at least one date in the mandatory game block and should choose at least five alternate dates in case the first choice is unavailable.

What is the mandatory game block?
The Mandatory game block is a group of games, close to Christmas, that we historically have trouble staffing. A list of mandatory game dates is sent out once the schedule is released.
