On-sale dates for 2014-15 Calgary Flames games have been announced

CALGARY, AB -- On-sale dates for 2014-15 Calgary Flames tickets have been announced.

Calgary kicks off the 2014-15 campaign at home, hosting divisional rival Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, October 8th before embarking on a six game road trip starting in Edmonton on Thursday, October 9th.

The Flames will play each divisional opponent five times, with the exception of Vancouver which will be four games. Calgary will play each Western Conference opponent (non-divisional) three times and will play all Eastern Conference opponents twice (once home and once away).

The Flames’ host a New Year's Eve Battle of Alberta when Edmonton comes to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday, December 31st. The Christmas schedule also includes home games against Arizona (December 2nd), Colorado (December 4th), San Jose (December 6th), New York Rangers (December 16th), Dallas (December 19th), Edmonton (December 27th) and Los Angeles (December 29th).

Calgary’s longest home stands this season are six games apiece; the first starts December 27th – January 9th when they host Edmonton (twice), Los Angeles, New York Islanders, Detroit and Florida. The second six game home stands runs January 27th - February 6th as Buffalo, Minnesota, Edmonton, Winnipeg, San Jose and Pittsburgh visit the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Eastern Conference Canadian teams will play at the Scotiabank Saddledome once each with Montreal coming October 28th, Ottawa on November 15th and Toronto here on March 13th.

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (9), Tuesday (14), Wednesday (11), Thursday (14), Friday (12), Saturday (17) and Sunday (5). Other schedule notables include hosting the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings twice, December 29th and April 9th. Calgary plays back-to-back 10 times in addition to 11 home stints and 11 road trips.

The Flames will break for the NHL All-Star Weekend hosted by Columbus from January 24th – 25th.

All Flames home and away games will be carried live on the FAN 960 radio. The complete television schedule will be released in August.
