Flames sign defenceman Deryk Engelland
CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames have signed defenceman Deryk Engelland to a three-year contract.
Engelland, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, has spent the last five seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Last season, he played in 56 games netting six goals and six assists for 12 points and 58 penalty minutes. He has amassed 243 career NHL games with 13 goals and 34 assists for 47 points and 308 penalty minutes.
