FLAMES FUTURE WATCH UPDATE


Eric Roy and the Brandon Wheat Kings are down 2-0 to the Edmonton Oil Kings in the second round of the playoffs. Roy was selected by the Flames in the fifth round (135th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Keegan Kanzig and the Victoria Royals are down 2-0 to the Portland in the second round of the WHL postseason. Kanzig was drafted in third round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Ryan Culkin and the Drummondville Voltigeurs are tied 1-1 with Val-D'or in the second round of the QMJHL playoffs. Culkin was the Flames fifth round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Johnny Gaudreau and the Boston College are headed to the Frozen Four after they downed Lowell on in the Northeast Regional. The winger leads the nation in scoring with 77 points through 39 games. Gaudreau was the Flames fourth round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft.
