CALGARY, AB -- For a second straight year, Calgary Flames prospect Johnny Gaudreau has been named to the Hobey Baker Hat Trick.

The Boston College sophomore is the NCAA's leading scoring this year with 77 points (35 goals, 42 assists) in just 39 games, which is the most from any Division I player in the last 11 years.

Gaudreau's 77 points is the highest total at Boston College since Marty Reasoner’s 73-point season in 1997-98. He is currently six points back of matching the school record set by Craig Janney in the 1986-87 campaign.

Earlier this year, he tied Paul Kariya's Hockey East record, set in 1992, when he recorded points in 31 straight games. That run started on Nov. 1, 2013, and lasted through Mar. 15, 2014. Gaudreau was held pointless in just two games this season.

Gaudreau's +41 rating this season, which is only matched by his fellow Flames prospect Bill Arnold, is the best in the nation.

The Carneys Point, NJ product has won a multitude of awards this season including Hockey East's Player of the Year, the Hockey East Writers and Broadcasters Association, and the Walter Brown Award.

Nic Dowd (St. Cloud State) and Greg Carey (St. Lawrence) are the two other Hobey Baker finalists.

The Hobey Baker Award will be presented on Apr. 11 in Philadelphia, PA at the Frozen Four. Gaudreau and Boston College will face off against Union at the Frozen Four in hopes of capturing their second NCAA Championship in three years.
