CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospect Johnny Gaudreau has won the 62nd annual Walter Brown Award, given to the best American-born college hockey player in New England.

The Boston College junior finished first in the final balloting ahead of linemate and fellow Flames prospect, Bill Arnold, and third-place finisher Steve Weinstein of Bentley University.

The 20-year-old tallied 69 points (32 goals, 37 assists) in 37 games this season, which is the 10th most prolific season in Boston College history. He tied Paul Kariya's Hockey East record when he authored a 31-game point streak, and was held off the scoresheet just twice in 37 games.

Gaudreau's incredible season has earned him numerous awards this year, including three Hockey East Player of the Month nods, the Hockey East Player of the Year Award, and the HEWBA Player of the Year Award.

He was also recently named one of the Top 10 Hobey Baker Award finalists.
