Ferland to miss the rest of the season due to injury
CALGARY, AB -- The Abbotsford Heat have announced that Calgary Flames prospect Michael Ferland undergo surgery on his knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old forward has been sidelined since Dec. 12 with the injury. In his last 14 games, the forward had scored six goals and 18 points.
The Flames drafted Ferland in the fifth round (133rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft. He is in the midst of his first full professional season.
