Heat tripped up in Utica
Brady Lamb and Brett Olson scored in the 4-2 loss

UTICA, NY -- The Abbotsford Heat were tripped up in the first outing of their three-game road trip, falling 4-2 to the Utica Comets on Wednesday evening.

Forward Brett Olson and rearguard Brady Lamb score for the Heat while the Comets received goals from Kellan Lain, Patrick Mullen (2), and Alex Biega (empty net).

Joni Ortio got the start in Utica but was pulled after the Comets second goal. Joey MacDonald allowed one goal on 18 shots.

The Heat take on the Comets again on Friday. They finish off their road trip on Dec. 22 with a game against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
