Flames Future Watch Update: 18.11.13
Get up to speed on how Flames prospects are doing in the WHL, QMJHL, NCAA and MHL

WINNIPEG, MB -- Jon Gillies, the Flames third round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft, made history this weekend when he posted his eighth collegiate shutout in a 3-0 win over UVM on Saturday. He is now the Providence College Friars all-time shutouts leader and is just 10 games into his sophomore season.

Gillies also slammed the door on UVM on Friday, making 37 saves in a 3-2 Friars win.

Eric Roy was held to one point this past week and sat out of one game with a lower body injury. He was selected by the Flames in the fifth round (135th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Coda Gordon had a great week, notching six points in four games. On Nov. 11, the Cochrane, AB product tallied two goals and four points in a 7-1 Swift Current win over Moose Jaw. Gordon was the Flames sixth round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Keegan Kanzig continues to be a pillar of strength on the Royals blueline. The defenceman was drafted in third round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Brett Kulak, who leads the Vancouver Giants in scoring, had a strong week with four points in three games this past week. He was the Flames fourth round pick in 2012.

Emile Poirier, who will represent the QMJHL in the Subway Super Series this month, scored one goal and two points in two outings this past week. The Flames selected Poirier 22nd overall in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Tim Harrison collected his first collegiate point over the weekend in a 4-3 Colgate win over Clarkson on Saturday. He was originally credited with two assists, as per the Colgate post-game press release, but that has been changed. He was the Flames sixth round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Johnny Gaudreau posted two points (one goal, assist) in two games this weekend. He leads Boston College in scoring by a four-point margin. Gaudreau was the Flames fourth round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Jon Gillies has made history at Providence College with a 22-save shutout performance on Saturday. The sophomore is now the Friars all-time leader in shutouts with eight during his collegiate career. He also came up huge for his team on Friday night when he made 27 saves in a 3-2 win over UVM. He was the Flames third round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Mark Jankowski was held pointless in the Friars two wins over UVM this weekend. The forward was the Flames first round selection in the 2012 NHL Draft and is in his sophomore season at Providence.

Kenny Agostino scored his first goal of the year in the Bulldogs tilt with Sacred Heat on Nov. 16. The forward was acquired in the Jarome Iginla trade last spring.
