Flames prospect training camp roster update

CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Flames announced an update to their 2013 prospects’ training camp roster.

Morgan Klimchuk

“The Calgary Flames Hockey Club announced today that 2013 1st Round Draft Choice (28th overall), Morgan Klimchuk suffered an abdominal wall strain injury during a recent pre-season game with the Regina Pats of the WHL and will be unable to participate in training camp with the Flames. Klimchuk will rehab his injury in Calgary with Flames’ personnel. He is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.”

Ryan Howse

“The Calgary Flames Hockey Club announced today that Ryan Howse has been suspended for failing to report to training camp. The Club will have no further comment at this time.”

The first on-ice session for the prospects is scheduled for Thursday, September 5th in Penticton, BC at the Young Stars Classic

Tickets for the Young Star Classic in Penticton, are available for $12 (single game), double headers for $20 and a limited number of tournament packages are available at a cost of $70 plus applicable fees. Tickets are available online at www.valleyfirsttix.com, by phone at 1-877-763-2849, or in person at the Valley First Box Office at the South Okanagan Events Centre or at Penticton & Wine Country Visitor Centre.

Main camp is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 11th. Complete training camp information, including schedules and roster will be available at the beginning of main training camp.
