Ramage & Wisconsin set to face UMass Lowell in first round of 2013 NCAA Tournament
Calgary Flames prospect John Ramage and the Wisconsin Badgers will face Northeast Regional No. 1 seed UMass Lowell in Manchester, NH on Friday in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
The Badgers head into the tournament with a boatload of confidence after capturing the WCHA Final Five Championship last weekend. Wisconsin topped Colorado College 3-2 with Ramage collecting an assist on the game-winning goal.
Wisconsin also comes into the game riding a six-game winning streak.
"I think that every team in this tournament can beat any other team," head coach Mike Eaves told UWBadgers.com. "We've seen that all year in our league and playing in our non-conference games. Any team in this 16-team tournament can win ... The issue for us is maintaining what we have and keep rolling."
The winner of the Northeast Regional series will advance to the 2013 NCAA Frozen Four set for April 11 and 13 at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
