Sportsnet broadcast schedule released

CALGARY, AB -- Sportsnet today announced its 2013 Calgary Flames regional broadcast schedule, featuring 34 regular season games on television and all 48 games on radio, kicking off with the home opener on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. MT on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet 960 The FAN as the Flames host the San Jose Sharks at the Saddledome. All season long, Sportsnet will keep fans connected to their home team first with more Flames and Canadian NHL team games on TV than any other broadcaster, in addition to unparalleled coverage across radio, digital and print.

Thirty-one of Sportsnet’s Calgary Flames games will air on Sportsnet West, while three will air on the Sportsnet ONE companion channel, Sportsnet Flames. All TV broadcasts will feature play-by-play announcer Rob Kerr, former NHLer and analyst Charlie Simmer and host Roger Millions. Hockey Central will preview every game with a half hour pre-game show, and will also provide intermission and post-game analysis. (Please see complete broadcast schedule below).

NOTE: There has been a time change for the Flames first game of the season. The puck drops at 4:00 PM on Jan. 20 when the Flames host the Sharks in their home opener.

In addition to the telecasts, Sportsnet 960 The FAN will broadcast all 48 games of the Calgary Flames 2013 season. For the complete radio broadcast schedule, click here. Host Pat Steinberg will be joined by analyst and former NHLer Mike Rogers with veteran Calgary Flames broadcaster Peter Maher handling the play-by-play.
