CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today their 2012-13 regular season schedule. Calgary kicks off the '12-‘13 campaign at home when the Flames host the San Jose Sharks on Sunday, January 20th at 5:00 pm MT. The Flames open their road schedule on Wednesday, January 23rd as they travel to Vancouver to face the Canucks.

Calgary’s longest home stands this season are three game stretches which will occur four times: January 26 - February 2, February 11-15, February 20-24 and April 15-19.

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (8), Tuesday (4), Wednesday (9), Thursday (5), Friday (9), Saturday (7) and Sunday (6). Other schedule notables include playing back-to-back nine times as well as 11 home stints and 11 road trips.

The Flames finish the regular season with a four game road trip, their longest road trip of the season. They will start the trip in Minnesota on April 21st, make stops in Nashville on April 23rd and St.Louis on April 25th before concluding the regular season in Chicago on April 26th.

With the NHL’s abbreviated schedule, the Flames will face Northwest divisional rivals Vancouver (2x home, 3x away) and Minnesota (3x home, 2x away) five times each and Edmonton (2x home, 2x away) and Colorado (2x home, 2x away) four times each.

The Flames will face Central division opponents three times each: St.Louis (2x home, 1x away), Detroit (2x home, 1x away), Nashville (1x home, 2x away), Chicago (1x home, 2x away) and Columbus (1x home, 2x away). The Flames will also face the Pacific division three times each: Phoenix (2x home, 1x away), San Jose (2x home, 1x away), Anaheim (2x home, 1x away), Los Angeles (1x home, 2x away) and Dallas (1x home, 2x away). There will be no cross over games between the Eastern and Western Conference.

All Flames home and away games will be carried live on the FAN 960 radio. The complete television schedule will be released in the next week.
