Flames select Gillies in third round

PITTSBURGH, PA -- With the 75th overall pick, the Calgary Flames selected goaltender Jon Gillies.

Gillies has spent the last two seasons with the Indiana Ice of the USHL. In the 2011-12 campaign, he posted a 2.77 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

The 6-foot-5 netminder is headed to the Providence College Friars next season.
