Flames select center Mark Jankowski

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Calgary Flames have selected center Mark Jankowski from Stanstead College, a prep school in Quebec's Eastern township, with their first round selection, 21st overall, at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Jankowski collected 53 goals and 93 points in only 57 games this past season.

Earlier in the day, the Flames chose to send their original first round pick (14th overall) to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Buffalo's first round pick which turned out to be Janowski. The Flames also acquired Buffalo's second round pick (42nd overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
