Flames assign Byron to Abbotsford



CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forward Paul Byron to the Abbotsford Heat (AHL).

Byron, a native of Ottawa, Ontario has three goals and two assists for five points along with two penalty minutes in 22 games with the Calgary Flames in his three call-ups this season. Paul registered his first successful NHL penalty shot goal against Toronto on February 14 in a 5-1 Flames win at the Scotiabank Saddledome. He will join the Abbotsford Heat on the road as they play in Milwaukee on February 24.
