The defeat snapped the Flames winning streak at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Prior to Saturday's contest, Calgary had won eight straight at home.
The Flames are now 10-1-1 in their last 12 games at the Saddledome.
Jonathan Quick made 29 saves in the outing while Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 21 shots.
The first period saw the Flames generate several good scoring opportunities but between Quick and the goalpost, none of their 11 shots found the back of the net.
Mikael Backlund and Lance Bouma both had shots fly past Quick but hit the iron.
Mike Richards broke the deadlock just 27 seconds into the middle frame.
Mark Giordano was unable to snag the puck at the Flames blueline and Richards and Dustin Penner went flying into the zone. Richards slipped his over a diving Kiprusoff's pads to notch his 14th goal of the season.
The Kings pushed their lead to two goals shortly after when Matt Greene wired a shot from the blueline that eluded Kiprusoff.
Anze Kopitar added Los Angeles' third goal of the evening at 14:48 when he was able to smack a bouncing puck into the back of the net while falling.
The Flames were finally able to beat Quick late in the frame while on a power play. With Rob Scuderi watching helplessly from the box, Cammalleri deflected a Anton Babchuk bomb from the point.
Jay Bouwmeester also assisted on Cammalleri's 10th goal of the campaign.
Despite a hard push in the third stanza, the Flames were unable to produce any offence and the Kings received an empty-net goal from Dustin Brown.
