CALGARY, AB -- All eyes were on Jarome Iginla, who is just three goals shy of his 500th, to start the game but by the end of the night, it was Curtis Glencross who had all the attention on him.

The winger potted two goals in the Calgary Flames 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night.

Olli Jokinen registered an assist, pushing his points streak to five games. He has eight points in that span.

Netminder Miikka Kiprusoff made 29 saves and was particularly clutch in the last few minutes of regulation when the Red Wings made a late push.

After an absolutely lackluster power play early in the first period, the Flames kicked things up a notch with the man advantage late in the frame.

With former Flame Todd Bertuzzi in the sin bin for hooking, Glencross knocked in his second goal in as many games - his 12th of the season - when he scooped up a rebound at the side of the net.

Jokinen and TJ Brodie assisted on play.

The Flames second goal of the night was all Tim Jackman. The gritty winger was leveled by Niklas Kronwall in the neutral zone but still managed to get the puck to Brendan Morrison.

The veteran and Blake Comeau went in on a two-on-one and Comeau made no mistake when he received the puck at the side of the net. He roofed it on Conklin, earning his second goal of the season.

Calgary kept pouring it on and Glencross notched his second goal of the evening at 5:47. Streaking down the boards, the forward snapped a shot off the post and into the back of the net. Defenceman Jay Bouwmeester has the lone helper on the third Flames tally of the evening.

Detroit got the board at 4:55 of the final frame when Jiri Hudler took a slap pass from blueliner Jonathan Ericsson and slid a backhander past Kiprusoff.

Ian White added the Red Wings second goal of the night at 15:48 but despite incredible pressure in the dying minutes of the game, Detroit wasn't able to score the equalizer.
