Calgary, AB -     The Calgary Flames are proud to announce their annual Western Night on Saturday, February 5th when they host the Los Angeles Kings at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The game – broadcasted coast to coast as part of CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada – will feature multiple Juno and Canadian Country Music Award winner George Canyon performing the National Anthems as well as a special live performance during the second intermission in partnership with Scotiabank which will be aired live on CBC.

The game itself will also include a western theme throughout and will feature the 2011 Calgary Stampede Royalty, the Guns of the Golden West, former Wildrose & Lakeland Rodeo Association Champion Barrel Racer Adel Hanson, ten time finalist and 2010 runner-up in the Foothills Cowboy Association Bull Riders Championship Jordie Nash, and four-time Rangeland Derby Champion Outrider Eddie Melville in attendance.

In conjunction with Scotiabank and CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada, this year’s annual Flames Western Night will celebrate Calgary’s Western Heritage and prelude to this summer’s “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth” – the Calgary Stampede.
