Flames acquire defenseman Brendan Mikkelson

PrintCalgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that defenseman Brendan Mikkelson has been claimed off waivers.
Mikkelson, a native of Regina, Saskatchewan, has 67 games of NHL experience with Anaheim. He has five assists and 38 penalty minutes over parts of three NHL seasons with the Ducks. Mikkelson was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 2nd round (31st overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
