The Flames prospect report and World Junior Championship line-up
Representing Canada, Greg Nemisz, a native of Courtice, Ontario was the Calgary Flames 1st round pick (25th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
This will be his first appearance at the IIHF World Junior Championship. He is in his fourth season with the Windsor Spitfires (OHL) and is fifth in OHL goal scoring with 24, and seventh in overall points with 48.
Representing Sweden, Tim Erixon, a native of Port Chester, New York was the Calgary Flames 1st round pick (23rd overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. This will be his second appearance at the IIHF World Junior Championships after winning a silver medal in 2009. He is in his third season with Skelleftea in the Swedish League.
Representing Finland, Joni Ortio, a native of Turku, Finland was the Calgary Flames 6th round pick (171st overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. This will be his first appearance at the IIHF World Junior Championship. He is currently playing for Tuto in the Finnish League and playing for Finland’s Under-20 National team.
