Montreal — A look at the numbers from the Calgary Flames - Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Miikka Kiprusoff earned his 200th win as a Flame in the 1-0 victory over the Canadiens. Jarome Iginla scored the only goal.

5 - Goals for Iginla in his past four games. The captain netted his 9th of the campaign in the first period and leads all Flames in goals scored. He's collected six points in the four-game streak.

200 - Win as a Flame for Kiprusoff.  The Finn has been a Flame since mid-way through the 2003-04 season and he led the club to the Stanley Cup Finals that year. He posted a career-high 45 wins last year.

2 - Shot blocks by Cory Sarich early in the second period. With the Habs pressing hard for the equalizer, Brian Gionta had a wide open cage but Sarich got in front of the shot and then shifted over to stop Mike Cammalleri's blast off the rebound. Both Habs had sure-fire goals if Sarich hadn't made the smart plays.

4 - Jaw-dropping hits by Dion Phaneuf. The one-man wrecking crew sent Max Pacioretty, Andrei Kostitsyn, Tomas Plekanec and Mike Cammalleri to the ice in dramatic fashion.

7:06 - Ice time for Brandon Prust. The gritty forward was inserted into the lineup due to Curtis Glencross's three-game suspension. In his 12 shifts he sent one hit at the Habs and played a great, defensively solid game.

28 - Shutout as a Flame for Kiprusoff. He's posted 31 overall in his career.

89 - Percentage in faceoff wins for Craig Conroy. The veteran forward only lost one of his nine draws.

358 - Number of consecutive games played by Jay Bouwmeester. The blueliner holds the longest current ironman streak in the NHL.

NOTEWORTHY

Conroy was originally drafted by Montreal in the 6th round (123rd overall) of the 1990 NHL Draft. He played for the Canadiens and their AHL affiliate in Fredericton for two seasons ... Calgary is the only visiting team to win the Stanley Cup on Montreal ice, accomplishing the feat in Game 6 of the 1989 Stanley Cup Finals ... Dion Phaneuf has a better-than point-per-game average against four teams in the NHL, and two of them the Flames face on this road swing: MTL (6 points in 5 games) and BUF (4 points in 3 games) ... Coming into the game Nigel Dawes had a point-per-game average against two teams: MTL (5 points in 5 games) and MIN (1 point in 1 game).

QUOTEWORTHY

Superb goaltending played a huge part in the victory but the Flames played a great road game. They hemmed the Habs in their own zone several times, kept the puck to the boards in their own zone and played a complete 60 minutes.

Dion Phaneuf handed out another one of his teeth-rattling hits early in the game when he laid a great open-ice hit on Max Pacioretty. The Montreal forward went to bat the puck out of his own zone and Phaneuf threw his shoulder hard into Pacioretty's chest, throwing him to the ice.

After making an excellent save off a Brian Gionta one-timer, Miikka Kiprusoff absolutely stoned a lurking Marc-Andre Bergeron. The defenseman was waiting at the side of the net, grabbed the rebound from Gionta's shot and looked to have a goal but Kiprusoff stacked the pads and preserved the lead.

Flames scratches were D Aaron Johnson, D Staffan Kronwall and F Curtis Glencross.
