FLAMES ASSIGN BRANDON PRUST AND RICHIE REGEHR TO OMAHA (AHL)

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today left wing Brandon Prust and defenceman Richie Regehr have been assigned to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the American Hockey League.
Prust has played in nine games with Calgary this season totaling 23 penalty minutes. He played his first NHL career game on November 1st against the Detroit Red Wings. In Omaha this year, the 5''11" 191 lbs winger has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists while accumulating 50 penalty minutes in 15 games.
Regehr played his first NHL game of the 2006-07 season on Saturday, December 9 versus the Vancouver Canucks. In 22 games with Omaha this year he has recorded 14 points from 5 goals and 9 assists. The 6''1" 205 lbs rearguard is a plus 16 with 37 penalty minutes.
Next action for the Flames is Tuesday, December 12th versus the Minnesota Wild. The 14-10-3 Flames are third in the Northwest Division, 3 points behind division leading Edmonton. Following Tuesday's home game with the Wild, the Flames embark on a six game 10 day road trip.
