Jarome Iginla is on the verge of etching himself into yet another Calgary Flames record book category as he needs just one point to become the all-time franchise points leader.

The Calgary Flames captain has tied Theo Fleury's franchise-high points mark of 830 points. He scored a power play goal Sunday against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first period to reach the 830 point plateau. It was the 399th goal of his career.

Ironically, Iginla's linemate for his first National Hockey League game, a playoff match between the Flames and Chicago in 1996, was none other than Fleury.

Iginla passed Al MacInnis, the former Flames defenceman and Hall of Fame member, on February, 17, 2009 when he tallied a goal and an assist against Vancouver.

"I've been blessed in my career to play 12 seasons here. It gets to be more fun as we continue to improve as a team," said Iginla, typically deflecting away talk of personal achievements.
