1 - For the first time in his NHL career, Mikael Backlund donned a letter on his chest. He wore the 'A' during a portion of the season while other veterans were out with injuries.

39 - The 25-year-old posted 39 points through 76 games, which is a new career-high. His previous career-high came in 2010-11 when he hit the 25-point plateau.

18 - Backlund scored 18 goals in 2013-14, another career-high. He was third in goals scored for the Flames, trailing just Mike Cammalleri and Sean Monahan.

5 - The Swede scored five of his goals on the power play. That total was good for third amongst all Flames when the team had the man advantage.

4 - Mikael Backlund's four short-handed goals is tied for second in the NHL.

178 - The pivot tossed 178 shots on net this season, yet another career-high.

63 - The forward is credited with 63 takeaways, leading all Flames this year.
