1 - Sean Monahan, a Brampton, ON native who played his junior career with the Ottawa 67's, played his first NHL game in Ottawa.

2 - Milan Michalek scored twice in the first period, giving Ottawa a 2-1 lead after 20:00. Matt Stajan got the Flames on the board with his 12th of the year.

7 - Ottawa native Paul Byron drew the Flames even with the Sens in the second period with his seventh goal of the year.

20 - Sean Monahan hit the 20-goal mark when he scored the Flames third goal. The last Flames rookie forward to hit that milestone was Jarome Iginla in the 1996-97 season.

3 - Ottawa scored three goals in the third frame, giving them the 6-3 victory on Sunday afternoon.

9 - Mikael Backlund put nine shots on net in the loss, which is a new career-high. His previous career-high was set earlier this season when he put eight on net in Philadelphia.

6 - Flames defenceman Kris Russell blocked six shots in the game, leading all skaters.
