ABBOTSFORD, BC -- Abbotsford Heat netminder Joni Ortio came up strong in his second game in as many nights, backstopping his club to a 5-2 win over the San Antonio Rampage.

The Finn made 27 saves and was named the game's first star for his efforts. Ortio has an 11-1-0 record this season.

Max Reinhart (1-1-2), Brett Olson (0-2-2), and Mark Cundari (1-1-2) led the way offensively with multi-point games. Markus Granlund extended his point streak to nine games with a third period marker.

Flames prospect Ben Hanowski opened the scoring in the first period, banging in his ninth of the year on the power play. Cundari and Olson were credited with the helpers. However, the lead was short-lived as Jon Matsumoto answered back for the Rampage before the period came to a close.

Heat scoring leader Ben Street potted the lone goal in the second period, assisted by Reinhart and Chad Billins. Street now has 14 goals this season and is on a three-game scoring streak.

In the third frame, Cundari extended the Heat's lead to 3-1 but San Antonio's Bobby Butler pulled his team back within a goal at the 15:34 mark.

The Heat pressed on and Markus Granlund notched his 10th goal of the season late in the period. Granlund is on a nine-game point streak and has 20 points in 22 games this season.

Reinhart added an empty-netter to seal the win.
