The ongoing saga involving the Phoenix Coyotes and where they'll be playing next season had another element added to it on Wednesday when TSN reported the mayor of Winnipeg hinted the Atlanta Thrashers would be the franchise most likely to head to Manitoba. As everyone knows, concussions became a hot topic in the NHL after numerous players were sidelined thanks to blows to the head. After lengthy deliberation, the NHL instituted new rules that aim to minimize the impact of potential concussions on players struck in the head. The Globe and Mail's Eric Duhatschek believes the mandates put in place have been placed on the shelf during the playoffs and uses Chicago Blackhawk's Brent Seabrook as an example.
