3RD PERIOD RECAP: 3-2 FLAMES
Glencross gave the Flames the go-ahead goal after he was able to collect Jay Bouwmeester's rebound at the side of the net and throw over Rinne. His 22nd tally of the season came at 10:23. Jokinen also assisted on the Flames third goal of the night, giving him his second point of the night.
Rene Bourque nearly made it a 4-2 game in the dying minute when he sent a shot towards the empty net in the neutral zone but it hit the post. It was the fourth post the Flames hit in the game.
Shots overall were 36-23 Flames.
2ND PERIOD RECAP: 2-2
Less than a minute into the period, Sergei Kostitsyn hauled down Jarome Iginla on a breakaway and the Flames captain was given a penalty shot. Iginla notched his 30th of the season with the penalty shot, going five-hole on Rinne. He is now just the 10th player in NHL history to record 30+ goals in 10 straight seasons. The Predators got the scoring started under 3:00 into the first period when Martin Erat was able to guide a drifting point shot from Jonathan Blum around Kiprusoff.
The Flames power play answered in turn when Giordano's shot from the slot bounced off Shea Weber's stick, Ryan Suter and over top of Rinne. Giordano's sixth goal of the season came at 7:15 with Jokinen collecting the assist.
Erat continued his stellar play when he set up Suter for the Predators second goal of the night. The blueliner's third of the year came at 15:58.
